My Story

As a Year 11 student at King Alfreds, I have had the privilege of experiencing a diverse range of subjects, from English and History to Maths and Science. However, it is the essay-based subjects that have captured my heart, as I find great joy in exploring complex ideas and expressing my thoughts through writing. My journey at King Alfreds has been nothing short of amazing, as I have grown both academically and personally, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me. Despite my love for learning, I faced a significant challenge during my GCSEs - time management. I struggled to balance my studies with other commitments and found myself overwhelmed by the amount of work I had to do. However, I refused to let this obstacle defeat me, and I developed effective strategies to manage my time and prioritise my tasks. This experience has taught me the importance of resilience and determination, and I am confident that I can help others who may be facing similar challenges. As a tutor, I am committed to helping my students achieve their full potential and develop a love for learning. I that every student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that caters to their individual needs. Whether it's essay writing, exam preparation, or time management, I am confident that I can provide the guidance and support that my students need to succeed. Moving at a pace which is most comfortable to you is necessary, to establish an academic drive and motivation to work, you need to acquire the passion. Only you will know what works best in correlation to your work, so never overdo yourself as you will just become burnt out and lack balance, which is also a factor to achieving success. My job is to simply provide help where needed and wanted. I am also part of the DEIB (Diversity, Equity, inclusion and Belonging) committee at KAS and volunteer at my local libary.
